Seisan

Origin : Chinese and Shorin-Ryu.
Its name is derived from Master Seshan
History : It is one of the original kata from the ancient Pangia-Noon style. 
The Kata teaches the student how to fight several opponents directly in front of him and how to turn and face opponents coming from different directions.  It also teaches a vertical punch with the thumb on top, instead of the twist punch.  It emphasizes the "Seisan Stance" (SHO ZENKUTSU DACHI) of fighting.

  1. Bow
    (north)
     
  2. Left foot forward into seisan-dachi, left chudan uchi-uke (slow), right hand pulls back,
    right chudan gyaku-tsuki
  3. Right foot forward seisan-dachi, left hand chudan gyaku-tsuki
  4. Left foot forward seisan-dachi, right hand chudan gyaku-tsuki.

    (north-west)
  5. Double jodan age-uke with right hand in front of left at 45 degrees to your left
  6. Step right foot through on 45 degrees into seisan-dachi then...

    (south)  
     swivel 145 degrees left (right foot is back) into seisan-dachi hands open 
  7. Both hands strike chudan shuto-uchi to the sides, slight bend in elbows [strikes stop before they reach 90 degrees to the side]
     
  8. Right foot forward into seisan-dachi,
    left hand palm taps across chest,
    back of right hand blocks across groin, comes up chudan kake-uke,
    right hand comes down horizontal, palm up, arm and fingers point to south-west,
    left hand strikes down and back behind you with groin shuto-uchi,
    right hand tegata-barai (pulls back and down).

  9. Left foot forward into seisan-dachi,
    right hand palm taps across chest,
    back of left hand blocks across groin,  comes up chudan kake-uke,
    left hand comes down horizontal, palm up, arm and fingers point to south-east,
    right hand strikes down and back behind you with groin shuto-uchi,
    left hand tegata-barai (pulls back and down).

  10. Right foot forward into seisan-dachi,
    left hand palm taps across chest,
    back of right hand blocks across groin, comes up chudan kake-uke,

    right hand turns vertical, arm bent 45 degrees,
    pulling back, right foot slides back into neko-ashi-dachi,
    butt pushes back, right shoulder forward.
  22. Right foot stomps down,KIAI
    lean forward,
    left foot forward, and across, into left foot locked tsuru-no-iwa-dachi,
    right foot mae-geri, land right foot forward into seisan-dachi with right hand gedan-barai,
    left hand chudan gyaku-tsuki.

  23. Right hand prepares under left elbow
    left foot swivels on heel 90 degrees to face west,
    right hand chudan uchi-uke as left hand pulls back, drop into shiko-dachi.

  24. Look left 180 degrees,
    right hand returns to hip, left hand prepares vertical on top of right hand at right hip,
    step right foot across, turn left 180 degrees, left foot back into neko-ashi-dachi
     
  25. Left foot slides forward, bring right foot up to teiji dachi (t stance).
    left hand jodan age-uke, left hand uraken-uchi,
    left hand turns vertical, arm bent 45 degrees,
    pulling back, left foot slides back into neko-ashi-dachi,

  26. Left foot stomps down,
    lean forward,

  31. Step right foot back,
    right hand palm taps across chest,
    left hand tegata-barai,
    left foot slides back into neko-ashi-dachi,
    hips facing at 45 degrees to right,
    right hand prepares on right hip.

  32. Right foot turns on ball of foot into seisan-dachi, left foot stomps flat. This will pull left hand back and down, KIAI

    right hand gyaku-tsuki
  34. Slide right foot back
    juji-uke to front, fingers pointing down, right over left,
    hands pull up to hips, palms forwards, fingers down
    left foot slides back into neko-ashi-dachi
  35. Right hand pushes to left above navel fingers up,
    left hand pushes to right below navel fingers down,
    hands push a little past each other,
    left foot stomps.
